i have to admit i was sorta shocked when i first read the news of “Killing Osama Bin laden” minutes later i began to see the same shock reaction on my friends’ comments on Facebook and twitter on the news.. as a Muslim i always believed that what Osama Bin Laden was doing wasn’t the right thing at all, i always hated his image i got from the media, i hated the fact that he killed innocents, and of course hated that it’s him who can be blamed of giving the totally wrong image of my Religion Al-Islam and about Muslims, that we are terrorists, that we believe it’s ok in Islam to kill non-muslims, to another fake islamophobic ideas said on us.. so, if i hated Osama this way, why was the shock then? i asked myself and other fellow Muslims the question for last days and that’s what i reached:

He was killed, shot in the face: yes! i can say he was a terrorist, a criminal .. but don’t criminals have the right to be tried, where is the justice here? i swear trying him fairly, his execution as a result if he deserved it, wouldn’t have got my attention even.. and why is America so proud? you call this civilization? for some people it’s like the U.S said Osama is a terrorist, the U.S killed Osama.. that’s it, no trial, no evidences nothing at all.

I remembered the war: our Martyrs in Afghanistan and in Iraq, 900,000 + innocent human killed by the non-terrorist USA? by Bush, his gang, i remembered children they killed in Afghanistan and Iraq, women they raped, how they ruined our countries.. cancer and deformities they gave to newborn babies in Iraq, sadness they brought to us for 10 years, damage they gave to Iraq’s sunni and shia .. i remembered the marines and soldiers that i hate like the most thing i hate in the world or like i hate israel.. i remembered Oppression, Humiliation or lets say i remembered how terrorist is the United States of America.

Bush the terrorist: will Bush be tried? Bush is not a less terrorist than Bin Laden .. Bin Laden killed thousands of innocents, bush killed hundreds of thousands, why on earth would you call Bin laden a terrorist and don’t call bush a terrorist as well?
Bush was defending America’s freedom/security?!! .. well, it’s that in his point of view only, Bin Laden in his point of view was defending Afghanistan’s freedom as well .. you called Bin Laden a terrorist, then say it about Bush too! where is justice here?

Buried him in the Sea!!!! : in the Sea! when i knew this i was like” OMG why does America underestimate and despise us this way?” .. you killed him at least bury him like humans, what kind of information does the CIA have about muslims? muslims don’t bury anyone in the sea, whatever it is, why are they always willing to insult us, does America fear a dead man?!!

did he worth it?: i had this question in mind, did a death of one man -who was almost dead for the world that forgot about him- did his death worth 10 years of war that didn’t end yet? did it worth hundreds of thousands of killed people? was Bin Laden that strong? i also tried to ask this question on the page of Sara Palin, and most of comments were about my veil, attacking my Religion .. yeah illiteracy is not a middle-east thing!

Didn’t the U.S. use Bin Laden?: yes, indeed, with or without Bin laden’s agreement, the U.S. used him, how would they have invaded the rich land of afghanistan, occupied Iraq and seize it’s Oil without the Bin Laden Scarecrow?
how would the U.S. interfere in muslims’ countries if not under the name of terrorism? mentioning the name of AlQaeda or relating it to a specific faction is an enough reason to infuriate the international community of that faction, a good reason for the U.S. to attack it too, Hamas and Hezbollah are good examples, how would the resistance factions in Gaza be named as “Terrorists” , if there wasn’t that accursed term “Terrorism”, and what is Terrorism last 10 years but Bin Laden and AlQaeda ..?

The complete story: till now we don’t have a complete story of AlQaeda, all our information is acquired by media, some directed media.. how can we make sure that every crime attributed to Bin laden was true? in Egypt for Example, the bomb attack on Elkedeseen Church in Alexandria on New Year’s Eve, it was said AlQaeda did it.. later we get to know that Mubarak, his interior minister were behind it, still we don’t know everything, no? more information can make Bin Laden more or less guilty though.

i don’t know, that was how i saw it, i tried to figure out my and others’ feeling toward the news, but the only thing i’m sure about, is that Osama Bin laden’s death, just brought him to the life of many people again, after they thought they will never remember him.

Yesterday we heard the news that Octavia Nasr the Senior Editor of Mideast Affairs at CNN was fired or forced to resign from the Company after her tweet commenting on the passing of Sayyed Mohammad Hussien fadlallah the Lebanese Shi’a marja and also known as the Spiritual Mentor of Hezbollah , Nasr posted on her twitter that she is sad because of the passing of fadlallah and that she respects him alot , Then she was fired !

octavianasrCNN: Sad to hear of the passing of Sayyed Mohammad Hussein Fadlallah.. One of Hezbollah’s giants I respect a lot.. #Lebanon
11:24 AM Jul 4th via Twitter for BlackBerry®

The giant american news company didn’t allow one of it’s employees to express her 140 letters personal point of view !

hmm, wondering where is the american democracy, liberty , freedom of speech that the USA is always proud of ? .. CNN always promotes that the islamic resistance in lebanon, iraq or everywhere is a type of terrorism, always promotes for Hezbollah as a group of islamic terrorists not as a people defending their land against the israeli terrorism machine, So the CNN people couldn’t stand another opinion ..

on another side Nasr who worked for CNN for 20 years ,quickly apologized for her tweet in a long post explaining that what she meant with the word “respect” is that she only respects that Fadlallah took a contrarian and pioneering stand among Shi’a clerics on woman’s rights ..! but seems that her apology was late ..

That’s really disgusting .. please america if you still can’t believe in freedom of speech ,then don’t give us a headache with your fake american model ! .. and dear americans we really sympathize with your minds eaten by your Media

So it has been a year since Obama’s speech for the islamic world from Cairo, that he started with our Islamic greeting “Assalmu Alykom” tried to be nice to muslims , to give a new message regarding the west’s view for Islam, and also about the Palestinian-israeli issue, people were impressed to the extent that made a well known actor like Sherif Mounir shout ” We Love you Obama” !

Mr. Obama talked about increasing Democracy in the middle east while the USA is still turning a blind eye on non-democratic freedom suppressing systems in the middle east as long as those systems can play the american game and protect israel in the region,

he also talked about having a solution for the palestinian problem, we only need to remember him that there is no progress, million humans in Gaza are still besieged thanks to the USA and her Arab friends, America remains silent toward the isreali crimes everywhere ( and what happened in flotilla is not far) and by the way israel didn’t stop building new settlments .

he also talked about the situation in Iraq and about an american withdrawal from Iraq and not to mention that still there is nothing but the daily iraqi suffer .

( by the way we didn’t hear his comment about the wikileaks video ) !!!

After a year we would like to say, Mr. Obama thanks alot for your new sweet words and the same rude actions that we always knew your country with !

we don’t need your words about respecting us while your country is behaving all the time in the opposite way .

i remember i wrote a post named What i liked and disliked in Obama’s speech to the Islamic world , that time i believed that it’s

just words and didn’t have much hope about a real change in the american policy in the middle east, but i admit i was kinda impressed by the show .. after a yaer i only would say ” W AlyKum Alsalam ” !

Today president Obama gave his speech to islamic world ,it was a nice speech that aims to have a new beggining with muslims,

and that is my impression about his speech :

This is what i liked in his speech :

- the way he began the speech with islam’s greeting ” Al salam alaykum “

- his words about respecting Al Azhar and Cairo university and the role they played for a long time to spread knowledge and culture early in the world

-his words about tolerance in Islam and how islam and muslims reject killing innocents and terrorism

-quoting from the holy Quran more than one time

-talking about great islamic examples like what muslims made in Andalusia and how islam deal’s peacefully with non muslims

- admitting that america after the 11′th of september has done wrong things

-his words about democracy and democratic governments and the reflection of democracy on people .

-when he said that america knows how did palestenians suffer

alot – it’s just words but sounds like a new message-.

-when he talked about muslim women ,i really liked when he talked about veiled women and that he rejects to consider them different or

treat them differently .

- when he said that it’s better to look for the common interests between muslims and west rather than looking for our differences

———————————–

And what i didn’t like :

- he talked too much about how jews suffered and that looked if what they had in the past is an excuse for what they are doing with palestenians today .

-when he talked about the palestenian problem with israel his words were if they both the palestinains and israelis has the same suffer

and both have to work to solve the problem but in fact israel “the criminal” can’t be equaled with the victim “palestine”

-when he talked about having two countries palestine beside israel he didn’t clarify how can this be achieved

-about nuclear energy that is used for non-peacful reasons he said that he will work to make all nations get rid of it

but does this include israel also ?

Conclusion : What he said about Islam is a result of a deep understanding of our religion Islam and this understanding must be spreaded over the world ,i mean that he didn’t say some thing we don’t know in our religion but some thing we nowadays don’t remind the world with ,some things we have like culture ,islamic civilzation ,the value of work in islam ,the value of learning,tolerance.. etc ,we not only need persons like obama to change the way the west sees islamic world but also we need to remind them by our work .

what Obama said was considered as a new message that can be used to work to achieve peace that maintains our rights .

there is no doubt that the speech has gained the trust of alot of muslims and i hope it can be translated into actual actions .

despite every thing it was a great step from Obama and he remains one of the best persons nowadays that have an increasing success

,a very good charisma and looks for change .

you can watch the speech here

Regards
